TRAINING
 

Although commercial mission customers may prefer our "turn-key" services for payload transportation, Government customers may have a need for shared or exclusive launch operations. We provide personnel training for every aspect of the launch campaign. Training can be provided at our facilities, the customer's premises or at a launch site!

COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN

Work with a small team of professionals in fabrication of tanks and engines built using a computer-driven winding machine and hand lay up with fabric and resin. Be a part of the transition to large scale production.

Specific tasks to include:

  • Lay out, assemble, pre-fit and bond metal, composite or laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins or equipment.
  • Cut fabric, hand lay-up of fiber glass and carbon fiber material.
  • Understand process methods and sequences.
  • Use shop math and measuring instruments.
  • Obtain information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents and verbal and electronic information.
  • Follow engineering and manufacturing specifications.
  • Operate ovens to complete curing cycles.
  • Sand, burr, smooth and seal.
  • Perform rework or repair.
  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Quick learner, hard-working, good with hands
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM or similar tools.
  • Minimum 5 years composites experience.
  • Either a US Citizen or hold a green card.
  • Machining and welding and basic knowledge of pressure vessel testing are pluses.
